Snowshoe-a-thon Photobooth (S’15)

In the midst of the coldest month on record (seriously), we hosted a carnival for local kiddos. Here are some of the Mountain School students enjoying the photobooth station and demonstrating that the cold weather may, in fact, have caused them to go just a little bit insane.

Winter Wonderland: S’14 Student Photography

OK, so it snows a lot in Vermont. Love it or hate it, the campus is covered for many, many months. Photos by Charles, S’14, from NYC. You can see more of his amazing photography here.

Parents: Four-wheel drive
is the name of the game when
you pick up your child.
charles1
Haiku:
This is what happens
when it snows non-stop for days.
Thanks Rob for plowing!
charles12
Haiku:
It doesn’t matter
who you are, where you come from:
here, broomball is life.
charles9
Haiku:
This is our graveyard –
Not as creepy as it sounds.
It’s nice to visit.
charles13
Haiku:
If you’re wondering
why it’s called ‘Siberia,’
now you understand.
charles8
Haiku:
Snowshoes help us out,
other than when they fall off
in Siberia.

charles10
Haiku:
Your e.sci pop quiz:
What kinds of trees do you see?
Hint: do not say ‘birch’.
charles2
Haiku:
The evergreens strain
Under snow-laden needles.
Don’t stand underneath!
charles5
Haiku:
The snow glows white on
the mountain tonight, not a
footprint to be seen.
(Obligatory “Frozen” reference)
charles4
Haiku:
Getting around is
difficult in the winter.
When is spring coming?
charles3
Haiku:
Looking at the view,
just “Mountains Beyond Mountains”…
I should write a book.
charles14
Haiku:
Another day draws
to a close. Brilliant sunset
marks the transition.
